JODIE KHAN – SOPRANO

Earning her Performance degree at Stellenbosch University, Jodie was first introduced to opera as her chorus group prepared a rendition of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas. This soprano has since found that the composers whose work she most enjoys performing are Donizetti and Mozart, while her favourite memory of her time at the Cape Town Opera is one that she describes as a spiritual experience: singing in Grace Notes at St George’s Cathedral. Jodie adores animals, particularly elephants, and believes that humans could learn a lot from their peaceful nature. She looks forward to performing more solo work in the future.
