A case of COVID-19 forced us to postpone performances 2 and 3 of The Pearl Fishers, originally scheduled for 17 and 19 June, to tonight and tomorrow night (25 and 26 June).

Cape Town Opera Young Artist Brittany Smith will make her debut as Leila in these performances, and Cape Town Opera Chorus Master Marvin Kernelle will lead the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra for the final show on 26 June 2021. This performance will be dedicated to Graham Scott, who conducted the first Cape Town Opera production of The Pearl Fishers in 2002. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
