Cape Town Opera seeks a creative, innovative leader with a big picture view, appropriate business expertise, significant organisational and management experience, and knowledge of the performing arts and culture sector. The Managing Director is responsible for implementing the company’s vision, mission and strategic plan; securing business in local, national and international arenas; building long-term relationships with key stakeholders in government, public and private sectors, and overseeing staff and general operations of this non-profit company based in Cape Town, South Africa.

The ideal candidate must have the expertise, enthusiasm and drive to further develop CTO’s reputation as a competitive international brand and maintain CTO as the flagship South African opera company. The  position is full-time, for a four-year fixed term appointment. Applicant must be a South African citizen.

Location: Cape Town, South Africa
