Cape Town Opera’s Youth Development and Education team, in response to the Department of Basic Education’s latest press release mandating the suspension of all school contact sport and the 2021 South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod programme, has expanded the e-learning programme that they created for The ABC Motsepe/South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod learners in 2020.

The new e-learning programme (an extension of 2020’s Sing Like A Pro) is a series of seven instructional videos entitled Sing Like A Pro – The Masterclass.  Our Youth Development and Education Department worked with learners from partner schools as well as professional opera singers to produce the content that will be made available online, for free, on Thursday, 27 May 2021.

The videos are intended to educate as well as inspire:  it enables the participants to remain engaged and busy during this period where they are unable to make music together.

Sing Like A Pro – The Masterclass will be made available on Cape Town Opera’s YouTube channel.
