Annual individual UK Friends of Cape Town Opera Patron Membership programme

£300 (Bronze), £600 (Silver), £900 (Gold) and £1800 (Platinum)

Our UK Friends Patrons are invited to attend both the annual London concert and year-end Cape Town Patrons event, and are entitled to tickets to opera performances in Cape Town. When the company tours productions to the UK, our UK Friends Patrons are the first to know – with advance and discount ticket options available. We keep in contact with quarterly emailers and information about our singers, upcoming concerts and operas, and the ongoing impact of the UK Friends Patrons’ giving in South Africa. Thus, the UK Friends Patrons enjoy the same privileges as our Cape Town Patrons and are acknowledged in programmes and other publications in the same manner.

For larger gifts – from individuals, trusts, foundations, corporates and estates – we have numerous opportunities to sponsor music education and the operatic arts in South Africa.

What does your contribution support?

  • £700 provides busing and tickets for 40 South African school students to attend a live opera performance, tour backstage and meet the singers
  • £3,000 provides weekly visits from a music teacher to a rural South African school choir for six months
  • £7,000 provides a Cape Town Opera Young Artist soloist with a bursary and weekly one-on-one coaching sessions for one year
  • £10,000 supports a member of the 16-voice Cape Town Opera Chorus for one year
  • £50,000 provides a fully-staged production with a live orchestra for Cape Town Opera’s annual student opera collaboration with the University of Cape Town Opera School South African College of Music.

If you would like to support Cape Town Opera in the UK as a volunteer please do contact us. We would be grateful for your support.
